About Me
Mezzo-soprano Olivia Ottinger hails from the Hudson Valley. She was most recently seen at TUNDI Production’s Wagner in Vermont Festival singing Zweite Norn in Götterdämmerung, covering Flosshilde in Das Rheingold, and singing Ortrud in concert. In New York she was seen as part of a PASS Artists Grant, singing Giorgio Germont in an innovative production of La Traviata at Snug Harbor. She sang with Opera Magnifico in their production of Suor Angelica as La Suor Zelatrice and covered La Zia Principessa. In 2023 she was featured in Carnegie Hall’s education programming with New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, City Lyric Opera’s La Traviata covering Flora, Teatro Grattacielo’s La Vestale, New Amsterdam Opera’s Lucrezia Borgia, Wagner in Vermont’s Die Walküre covering Waltraute, and singing Venus in concert.
Other recent credits include Dell’Arte Opera’s Pelléas et Mélisande as Geneviève, Dell’Arte Opera’s Il Ritorno d’Ulisse in Patria as Giunone, the world premiere of The Silk City with Garden State Opera as Giovanna Ambrogio, the Un’Altra Fante cover in Teatro Grattacielo’s site-specific Giulietta e Romeo, The Composer in Ariadne auf Naxos with Dell’Arte Opera Ensemble as part of their Garden Concert Series, Schwertleite in Die Walküre and scenes from Falstaff as Meg Page. Other past roles include Mother Marie from Dialogues of the Carmelites, Olga and Filippyevna from Eugene Onegin, Purcell’s Dido, Bizet’s Carmen, and many more.
